Launch Readiness Self-Score

Answer these twelve questions truthfully. If you cannot answer "yes" or give a clear specific answer to nine of them within five minutes, the launch is not ready - and you have just identified what to fix.

The full LaunchOS audit scores you on the same twelve categories with rationale, risk flags, and a 90-day plan. This self-score is a quick mirror.

  1. 1

    Product clarity

Can you describe your hero SKU, who it is for, and why it is worth £X in one paragraph?

  2. 2

    Audience clarity

Do you know your first 100 customers by description (skin type, age range, life stage, channel they hang out on)?

  3. 3

    Messaging clarity

Does the brand have a single line a creator could repeat back to camera without coaching?

  4. 4

    Proof and claims

For every claim on the website, do you have written proof (study, dermatologist sign-off, ingredient supplier letter)?

  5. 5

    Content readiness

Do you have 30 days of content already shot or scripted, with hooks the team can shoot without you?

  6. 6

    Creator readiness

Do you have a creator longlist of 25+ names, with audience-fit notes and risk flags?

  7. 7

    Website and conversion

Does the PDP answer the three questions a first-time buyer asks - shade, ingredients, when do I see results?

  8. 8

    CRM readiness

Do you have a welcome flow, post-purchase routine, and replenishment reminder timed to the category?

  9. 9

    Ops readiness

Will you have stock for 60 days post-launch with a 20% safety buffer? Lead times and MOQs accounted for?

  10. 10

    Reporting readiness

Have you decided what numbers you will check daily for the first 14 days, and where they come from?

  11. 11

    Retail readiness

If a buyer asked for a buyer pack tomorrow, would the answer be "yes" or "two weeks"?

  12. 12

    Compliance

Is your facility registered with the FDA (US) and your products notified to CPNP (EU) and SCPN (UK)?

How did you score?

Twelve clear yeses: you are launch-ready. Run the full audit anyway - we always find something that compounds in week one.

Eight to eleven: you are close, but the gaps are usually compliance, ops, or proof - the parts founders deprioritise. Beauty 2.0 closes those before launch day inside LaunchOS.

Seven or fewer: do not launch yet. You will spend launch month firefighting instead of growing. The Launch Readiness Audit names every gap and the order to fix them.
